Old town or village?
LD and Filippi belong to Korčula’s old-town setting, but their menu formats and atmosphere differ. Konoba Mate is in Pupnat, not around the next corner of the promenade. Choose the location first, then arrange the meal and return journey. A village dinner can be the reason to explore inland, rather than an inconvenient extension of a town walk.
Let the menu decide the pace
Use LD for a deliberately paced gastronomic evening, Filippi when a promenade setting and its documented vegan option are relevant, and Mate for a family-led rural perspective. These are editorial distinctions, not a ranking. Check the current menus and individual dietary needs directly. Leave enough room between restaurant plans to enjoy the island outside the dining room.
The tables in this story
Korčula
LD Restaurant
Marko Gajski cooks within Lešić Dimitri Palace. The terrace follows Korčula’s old walls above the Pelješac channel; indoor dining and private rooms offer a different atmosphere.
Korčula
Filippi
Filippi combines a pine-shaded promenade terrace with Ivan Uglik’s cooking. The guide lists a five-course vegan option and wines from Korčula, Hvar and Pelješac.
Pupnat · Korčula
Konoba Mate
The family table is in Pupnat village, not Korčula town. Garden vegetables, house charcuterie and goat cheese underpin a rural identity; goat-cheese ravioli is a documented example.
